Liceo Scientifico Statale Giordano Bruno is a secondary school located in the heart of Mestre, next to Parco Albanese. Parco San Giuliano and Venice S.Lucia are within easy reach by bus.
We are proud of an annual average of over 1,000 students.
Four different plans of study used to be available.
- Biology: a plan offering an in-depth study of Biology and Chemistry
- Modern Languages: this plan is characterized by the study of a second foreign language, such as French, Spanish or German in addition to English.
- PNI: Italian acronym for National Plan for Informatics, providing a complete and up-to-date plan for Mathematics and Physics, with an emphasis on intense laboratory activity and the study of a basic programming language.
- A traditional plan offering a good balance between the study of humanist and scientific subjects, with an emphasis on scientific and mathematical topics (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and an in-depth study of Italian Literature.
Since the next school year, 2010-11, two options will be available:
- Scientific schooling (with an increase in Mathematics, Physics, Science and an optional second modern language*)
- Applied Science (no Latin but an increase in Computer Science and Natural Sciences)
All courses will grant the study of a modern language (*chosen among English, French, German, Spanish).
